Olivia is a Canadian artist graduated from the National Superior School of Fine Art in Montpellier (France) and from the Lassaad International Theater School in Brussels (Belgium), where she was intensively trained in movement theatre based on the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq. Olivia started creating installations and sound sculptures to gradually arrive into performing arts. With a strong focus on the body movement, her work is constantly juggling from installation and performances through video and photography. The body in search of the essence, and the notion of the ephemeral are almost systematic in her artwork and plays with the limits of the absurd and has been presented internationally in Canada (OFFTA, Casteliers, Gallery 1313), Spain (Contemporary Art Museum of Allicante ), Scotland (Manipulate Festival), England (Bristol International Festival, Tobacco Factory Theatre), Germany, Italy(Granma), France and in the USA (Sandglass Theatre(VT), La MAMA experimental Theatre(NYC), Agregate Space Gallery(CA)).
