OLIVIA FAYE LATHUILLIÈRE is a Canadian visual artist, performer and choreographer, graduated from the National Superior School of Fine in Montpellier (France) and from the Lassaad International Theater School in Brussels (Belgium), where she took intensive training in movement theatre based on the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq. She started creating installations and sound sculptures to gradually arrive into performing arts. The body in search of the essence, the idea of the ephemeral is almost systematic in her work and plays constantly with the limits of the absurd. Constantly juggling between installation, performances through video and photography, now multi-disciplinary, her work has been presented internationally in the form of exhibitions or stage performances at festivals in Canada (OFFTA, Casteliers, Gallery 1313), Scotland (Manipulate Festival), England (Bristol International Festival, Tobacco Factory Theatre), Germany, Italy(Granma), France and in the USA (Sandglass Theatre(VT), La MAMA experimental Theatre(NYC), Agregate Space Gallery(CA)).
In 2016 she founds Equivoc’ to present her physical – visual artwork and to open new collaboration, exploring sound installation video and immersive choreographic research. ig:oxlxo
